Lehigh Valley Celtic Music is entirely owned and operated by Megan Everett and Terry Hartzell. We do not accept payment from any musician, venue, or business for what we do under the umbrella of Lehigh Valley Celtic Music.

You acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy, and that you agree to its terms, by using:

  • our website (http://LehighValleyCeltic.com),
  • our Facebook Page (@LehighValleyCeltic),
  • our GSuite e‑mails or online calendar (@LehighValleyCeltic.com),
  • our MailChimp mailing list(s) that sends e‑mails from info(at)LehighValleyCeltic.com,
  • our Eventbrite account (http://lehigh-valley-celtic.eventbrite.com), or
  • Our SoundCloud account (https://soundcloud.com/lehighvalleyceltic)

We never share or sell your information.

We ONLY use your information to send you those e‑mails that you request when you sign up to one or more of our mailing lists, LIKE our Facebook Page, or RSVP to one of our events.

We do not store your information longer than necessary.

We backup our systems once a month. Backups are stored for 90 days, then deleted.

If you wish to know what information we have of yours, or want us to delete your information from all our systems:

  • simply e‑mail us at info(at)lehighvalleyceltic.com and we will honor your request.
  • Please allow 7 to 10 business days.
  • You will receive an e‑mail acknowledgement when it is done.
  • If you do not receive an e‑mail from us, then assume we did not see your request and e‑mail us again.

We are not selling anything.

  • Our sole purpose is to connect people with the music they love.
  • We believe that the only way the live music we love will continue to be available is if enough people patronize the events and the venues that host them.

Links to Other Websites and Online Channels:

This website and our other online channels contain links to other sites, pages, and groups.

Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site, page, or group that collects personally identifiable information.

Services We Use That May Collect Your Personal Information:

We are very careful to use only those services that abide by current best practices to protect your e‑mail address and other personal information.

Please be aware that these service providers have their own privacy policies, which can be found on their respective websites. We are not responsible for either their policies or practices, and encourage our users to become familiar with how their information will be collected or used.

  • Eventbrite – for event registration
  • Facebook Page – for sharing Facebook posts, videos, and events of interest to you
  • GSuite (aka Google Apps for Business) -- for our online calendar, file sharing, and replying to any person-to-person e‑mails, form submissions, or voice‑mails
  • MailChimp – for sending e‑mails to lists of subscribers.
  • SoundCloud – for hosting audio files; like weekly calendar highlights or interviews.

RE: e‑mail lists (MailChimp)

We use "double opt-in", which means:

  • first you sign up with our subscription form on MailChimp website, then
  • you will receive an e‑mail asking you to confirm that you were the one who requested to receive e‑mails at your address.
  • This prevents anyone else from signing you up to receive e‑mails without your knowledge.

Whenever you want, at the bottom of any of our e‑mails, you can:

  • un‑subscribe from all our mailing lists, or
  • change which of our e‑mail lists you are subscribed to, and/or
  • change your e‑mail address.

Backups:

  • Once a month we permanently delete every member who has unsubscribed since the last backup, or whose e‑mail address was reported as "invalid."
  • Then we back up our mailing lists.
  • We also delete any backups that are older than 90 days.

RE: e‑mails, the online calendar, submitting events, and file sharing (GSuite, aka Google Apps for Business)

We use GSuite, (aka Google Apps for Business) because it has much better security and "deliverability" (chances of things working correctly) than any other affordable option.

We pay for the service so that if anything does ever go wrong, we have 24x7 phone support to help us get our services back online and both maintain and fix any security issues.

If you are a “repeat customer” or someone we do things with fairly regularly, we may add your info to our Google contact list to facilitate future communications.

We backup our systems once a month. Backups are stored for 90 days, then deleted.

RE: Facebook Page

We do our best to share only those posts and events that we believe will be of interest to those who have LIKED our Page.

We welcome your feedback as to what you would like to see more or less of.

Facebook changes what it shows and to whom frequently, and we are amateurs -- so if you see anything from us that seems annoying or out-of-character, please give us the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was unintentional, and message us so that we can figure out what went wrong and prevent it from happening again.

We do not attempt to contact any of our Facebook friends or Page likes outside of Facebook. We do not use those lists for any other purpose.

We do not back up or export the information of those who interact with us or our Page on Facebook.

If you wish to communicate with us in real life, by e‑mail, phone, or other platform, please reach out to us using the contact information on our website LehighValleyCeltic.com.

RE: event RSVPs or registration (Eventbrite)

We do not use your information for any other purpose than to send you e‑mails re: the specific event for which you RSVP.

After an event is over, all attendee information is deleted from Eventbrite. And any backup of attendee information is also deleted.

We do not share your information, export it to any other database or platform, or use it for any other purpose.

RE: audio files we create and share online (SoundCloud)

We use this service to host any audio files we create because it does not require you to create an account and password in order to listen to them. And it works well everywhere we share things online.

It is used by a lot of musicians, and has been around long enough that we trust it not to spam or misuse the information and "Likes" or "Follows" of those of you who connect with us there.

If you do choose to create a SoundCloud user account and Like or Follow us there, we do not share your SoundCloud information, export it to any other database or platform, back it up, or use it for any other purpose.
